• GST and levies: for goods worth more than NZ$1,000, NZ Customs collects 15% GST on the value of the goods plus freight and insurance, along with border levies. You'll need a customs entry, which many buyers handle through a customs broker.
• Power: Australia and New Zealand share the same plug type and 230 to 240 V, 50 Hz supply, so there's nothing to convert.
• Timing: allow about four weeks for pre-delivery testing, plus sea freight (around two weeks from Australia to Auckland, port to port) and customs clearance.
• Packaging: any timber crating has to meet New Zealand's biosecurity rules for wood packaging, which we'll confirm in your quote.
